Digital copy services sponsorship
I had tried to gain the university copy centre as a sponsor however this was rejected due to their financial constraints. I will try again but ask for less printouts or ask them what they can afford. Mariana has kindly suggested that she maybe able to use a small amount of the department budget towards printing but this has not been confirmed.
Delegation
Everyone will carry on with their tasks from next week apart from Tom who will contact an electrican to enquire about PAT testing any electrical equipment that may be used in the exhibition.
Website pictures
On thursday the 11th of march I had succesfully taken pictures of everyone except Daniel. The photos were taken with a white background and the website team have confirmed that they will turn the pictures into black and white and apply a slight colour tint to match the logo and the groups we are e.g. exhibition team photos will be in red etc.
Boring paper work
I have gained our public liability and have sought information regarding risk assesment, I will delegate risk assesment to Theresa if she wants so hopefully it will be completed by next week.

Mikey - website leader - Craig Graphics Leader
I spoke to Mikey today regarding the following:

On Thursday i will sort out a room booking and equipment from media production so that we may take professional pictures. I have advised Mikey to also tell as many people as he can so that we can hopefully gurantee 100% attendance.
issues with space (Mikey and Craig)
As with my previous entry, i spoke to mikey and craig about the issues surrounding an exhibition space, we spoke about trying to locate a back up space just in case High Chelmer cannot supply us with a satisfactory exhibition space. I had advised Craig that he will have to think about making signage to direct people to our exhibition as we may not be able to put the exact address on our invitations.

work for Damien
Because my original meeting with Carley was sppose to be on monday i had advised Damien last thursday that i will supply him with a task on tuesday. Since the meeting will now take place this thursday I have altered the task and posed Damien a challenging task:
As my previous post outlines; some spaces we may be given might have no power. This will obviously have an affect on the students wishing to showcase live animation. His task is to design dfferent ways we can showcase animation without the use of electronic equipment. This may be in a simple form as screen shots or as elaborate as a flip book. What ever he designs must adhere to the following.
To be no bigger than an A3 sheet of paper
To be wall mounted (although nothing stops you from designing something which the viewer can take off the wall, exmaine it and replace)

Problems
After speaking with Carley (high chelmer) she has advised me that their is no guarantee on the space that we will be given, she stated that offers can come in a month or week before our exhibition is due to start. The shop space that we may get ranges from sizes twice the size of 303c saywers to a quater of that. Not only does this change in what we can have showing but also a change in shop means a possibility of no power (no way of showing animated work), health and safety changes between each space (some spaces are in the isles which means nothing can go on the floor.)
She was also unaware of the amount of students and assumed that there were only around 6 students. I will be meeting up with Carley on the 11th of March (next thursday) at 10:00am to go through all the possibilities that we may be given so that we can produce multiple layout plans.
